Mary J Blige - One (feat. U2)

Mary J Blige - One (feat. U2)

Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same?
Will it make it easier on you now?
You got someone to blame

You say one love, one life (one life)
It's one need in the night
One love (one love), get to share it
Leaves you darling, if you don't care for it

Did I disappoint you?
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without

Well it's too late, tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to carry each other
Carry each other
One...

Have you come here for forgiveness?
Have you come to raise the dead?
Have you come here to play Jesus?
To the lepers in your head

Well, did I ask too much, more than a lot?
You gave me nothing, now it's all I got
We're one, but we're not the same
Well we, hurt each other
Then we do it again

You say
Love is a temple
Love is a higher law
Love is a temple
Love is the higher law
You ask me to enter
Well then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt
One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters and my
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other

One...

One love

Kaula Lampur, Malaysia

I was away to KL, Malaysia from the 10th to the 23rd of Sept. 2006 for training. The whole trip could be translated to be one where there was loads of personal development, food and fun.

The two weeks went in a flash and of the 42 meals, approximately, 75% must have been fully blown up buffets. As for the remaining meals, they were as lavish as we experimented different delicacies.

Overall, it was a whole load of interaction with people from all over - it was fantastic since there were 110 people and 25 nationalities. It was common to be seated in tables of 8 with 8 different nationalities - and some of them were really exotic - loads of Africans - Ghana, Zimbabwe, and Bostwana. The whole of South East Asia and South Asia had representatives. I desperately wanted another Sri Lankan mate - but alas! I was the only dude and that too representing Singapore!

As we went through the programme, I realised that working with people, and especially people from diverse backgrounds/cultures, will be the biggest challenge ever. Of course, I have already made up my mind as to some of the kind of people I would not like to work with - but of course, the luxury of choice might not even be mine, so I will have to suck up and learn to work with them.... And I also realised that Singaporeans rocked. I know this for a while - but seriously, considering that I am not Singaporean, they have really been a fantastic batch to be part of.

Well, there is, I think a lot more on my mind. However, my body and mind is trying to condition itself to fasting (Yep, Ramazan has started!). I really do not have any issues with fasting but sometimes it can affect your work. Especially since things are so hazy at the moment and I am yaaaawwwning away...

Chhhhhhhhhhhhhhherrrrrrs!

Tonic - If you could only see...

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me

Well you got your reasons
And you got your lies
And you got your manipulations
They cut me down to size

Sayin you love but you dont
You give your love but you wont

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me

Seems the road less traveled
Shows happiness unraveled
And you got to take a little dirt
To keep what you love
Thats what you gotta do

Sayin you love but you dont
You give your love but you wont
Youre stretching out your arms to something thats just not there
Sayin you love where you stand
Give your heart when you can

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me

Sayin you love but you dont
You give your love but you wont
Sayin you love where you stand
Give your heart when you can

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says
When she says she loves me

Song of the month: Sept' 06

Agassi Fan

“It means a lot to me to make a difference in somebody’s day when they take the time to come watch tennis and watch me play.” Agassi said after his win. “It’s not about my experiences in life as much as it is about creating experiences for others. That’s where I find a lot of joy,”

Andre, the pleasure is all ours.

I guess we all strive for and pray for a moment like this - 15 minutes of fame.
