How to Get Angelina Jolie's Lips

Natural matte lips, like Angelina Jolie's, are so sexy that the hot guy you're crushin' on might actually work up the nerve to ask you out!

Steps
Exfoliate your lips with a warm, wet wash cloth by wiping back and forth for no more than 30 seconds.
Apply a good lip plumper (the most recent in lip enhancing technology). There are a few good brands sold in department stores and beauty supply stores. They literally plump up, smooth out and moisten the lips.
Line and fill in your lips with a light brown or nude lip liner pencil (match your skin tone as closely as you can).
Apply a matte flesh-toned lipstick.
Blot the lipstick by gently pressing your lips closed with a tissue in between.

Tips
These steps help you achieve the look of Angelina Jolie's lips, but to get the actual fullness, you may have to consider more drastic measures like plastic surgery, collagen implants, restylane shots or tattooed outlines around your lips.
Alternatively, some lip glosses (like Lip Venom) use ginger and cinnamon to increase circulation in your lips to create fuller "bee-stung" looking lips. The cost of this beauty might be a slight burning feeling in your lips.
Reduce shine and make your lipstick last longer by adding an ever-so-thin layer of baby powder with a brush.
If the look is a bit harsh for your taste, try adding some shine with clear gloss.
Make-up artists like this trick, too. Add dimension by taking a liner about 2 shades darker than the lipstick and drawing in a "shadow line" under the middle of the bottom lip. This can be very tricky to master, so make sure you practice before you wear it out. Study pictures of celebrities who have similar lip shapes to your own and try to copy the shadow line found on them.

Warnings
Not all guys like the huge, plump lips look, so be careful.
Don't get so focused on your lips that you lose sight of how beautiful the rest of your face is.

FFFFFFANTASTIC!

What a great time - woohoo! Played Cricket from 5 pm to 10 pm. The 2nd year Sri Lankan Juniors led by Jathu, Kevin and Prashanth had organised a fantastic tournament.

Hehe! And we did good too - the ANUS Angels - choked the first years while they were chasing 27, and then we choked another random team who were cruising and we were estatic! Lost in the semi's - though we gave them a run for their money. Whee! What great fun!

Oh... and the team name is Anus Angels for a reason - Anushaka is my room mate. And he is a pretty popular dude in our batch you know. And when we were asked to concieve a name, yours truly, came up with Anu's Angels (Anu's is short for Anushka if you are wondering) - and then I was thinking since most teams have a dirty connatation, we could drop the apostraphe. And hence Anus Angels - perfectly innocent.

What else - really, that was it! It was a great day and kudos to the 2nd years for organising!

Here it is - for all Sri Lankan cricket fans - the highlights where Jaysuirya smashed 114, Sri Lanka piled on 309 and had the Kangaroo's tail in a twist!

This post is going to deal with a little bit relating to porn - nothing explicit or anything - simply talk.

In any case, I have a good friend who had a fetish for cartoon porn - he is a nice and funny and mostly normal guy - but he likes cartoon porn. And well, nothing wrong with it really - like I said to each his own, right? And before we all go judging "Eww. Cartoon porn - that is sick" I think porn is justifiable - in any form - in some context. Imagine that if the peeping tom was given his helathy diet, maybe he would not have resorted to his - well, his relatively sickening behaviour.

I am dealing with a course in ethics this semester - and it reminded me of a question that I had heard of in my first year - which actually does not seem to be far too ago - but it was in 2002.

"A good principal of a school - competent functionally and emotionally - is caught with porn on his personal computer in school."

What is your take on this?

For me, I think if it did not interfere with his job - I think it is OK. Some may argue, that the computer was not his property and hence he should have made better use of it or if it was kiddie porn - well, for me, while I do not condone it, I think the principal is still good. OK - some part of me does say that kiddie porn might be a problem - I mean he is dealing day in and day out with children - so maybe he would be pushing tin then.

Well, Clinton was impeached for lying and not because he had sex. For me, if the President of the United States of America is allowed to satisfy his sexual desires, the principal is also OK!
While my usual take is that - to each his own - I am still left wondering what the hell some people think when they are doing stuff. I have one friend who posts a lot of in-your-face issues about everything and everybody - and the blog - being in the public domain (ahem! I am a Communications and New Media student and if there is one concept that is drilled into us - it is of the public and pricate sphere) it allows all people access to it.

I am actually contemplating that I could never do that - I am usually pretty upfront about things - but then nagging and viewing everything cynically and posting it online - it would put too much pressure on me to be self righteous. Of course, this has not stopped a lot of stupid people to say something and then let it fall on their faces - I have "friends" who try and sell me an image of themselves when I know that they are exactly who they are - I believe the word is hypocrites. Well, if they are not true to themselves, I do not think it even matters because they are bound to do enough damage onto themselves.

Apart from that, I am extremely and overly sensitive. God. I am intolerable and am able to make an issue out of anything. I have to tone down else I am going to be majorly dissapointed all the time.

I spent my day eating, laughing, watching Desperate Housewifes, playing cricket - this is how I wish everyday was.

Anyways, I am off for now. Thinking of more "jazzy" stuff to write about. Bleh! My life is pretty uneventful!

It has been a so-so week! I am finally getting something on about my thesis and have sought the help of a few professors from the SOC - it should be OK. I need to keep working on it though. I figured I am not the best at individual work - without the pressure of the need to ensure that the group does well, I tend to take the foot of the accelerator - I mean I do OK in the end but I seriously take things too slowly!

Apart from that, I have watched an amazing amount of movies such as The Village, Wedding Crashers, The Exorcism of Emily Rose (and the list goes on) in the past couple of months and also watched the whole of Season 1 of Desperate Housewifes and on par with my NUS mates in Season 2 - having watched till Season 2 Episode 12. Yay!

The highlights since my last post - cricket wise Sri Lanka finally are making the South Africans and Aussies sweat and making a real fist fight of things down under - still managed to lose two matches where there were opportunities to win. It happens. Sunny Jayasuriya is back and hence we have a chance! He mysteriously disappeared after a magnificient match winning 114 and a quick 31 in the next match - god, we need to sort out and ensure all his body parts are frozen so we can play him way past his mortal life - he is that good!

School has been the same old - slow and uneventful really.

The CNY holidays are ever so boring - I am fine-tuning my slow-laptop and also getting attuned to Podcasts - it is a great technology though it fails to download a lot of the clips I want. I must fix it!

Work at law library is still on. It will be down to 16 hours for the month of February.

Hmm... Finally got a SD card - 128MB for my camera after the mysterious spoiling of the 256MB card.

Attended LL4053 (I think) for the second week in a row. The lecturer is really cool - thanks to Amanda for introducing the course to me. Knowing more about intellectual property will do no harm. Sort of nostalgic sitting for law - the last time I had a doze of Law was in 1999 - and it remains to be full of weird contradictions and thank god the Prof is so entertaining.

Otherwise, I spend a tremendous amount of time in front of my computer screen. Spend a partial amount of chatting with a relatively few people - it is like the Pareto's Law - 80% of time with 20% of the people.

Still looking for jobs. Waiting for my rocket to come!

I need more controversial stuff - I am feeling kind of mellow listening to "Rehna Hai Terra Dil Mein" songs - and hence I really cannot conjure up anything exciting.

BTW, a friend of mine, Juliet is leaving to LA on Wednesday - so cool! An amazing break at Capital. Will be off to see her. She was fantastic to work with - and though it has been a really been a short time since I know her - she is fantastic and it is a deserving opportunity for her!

My bro, sis-in-law and my youngest niece will be off to Mumbai for a couple of weeks - partly pilgrimage and partly to meet the in-laws.

For now, in ushering the year of the dog - Gong Xi Fa Cai!

A long time since I updated! Anyways, for the record, the peeping tom has since departed. I felt sorry for him initially - but he had some issues. He was a guy with a record of this and he was a really sick perv - maybe he should have got more than just a reprimand and being kicked out of his room - he was a medical year 5 student - he should have more honour and maybe rationale.

Enough about him though - for me it has been a good week. A lot of things to think about and I need to put a lot into action. The NGES summit was a blast and made a few good contacts there. Need to work on finding a job and as someone said aptly - that in itself is a full time job.

I was also involved in organizing the Homecoming Reunion and I must say the NOC students are a breed apart - well, not all of them, but the majority. It was fun meeting and interacting with them.

I am thinking of a lot of things - one of them is to read more books - expecially those mentioned by Prof Tom Kosnik - what a great guy - I mean he knows people like Geoffrey Moore - jesus christ!

Anyways, for me, I have loads to do this year - and while for the Chinese, it is the year of the dog, I hope it works out for me too! :)

Slow start to school and thesis and yadayadayada! It's always slow in school! Haiz! Need to do some work for tomorrow and then it is thesis time!

Cheers!

An exhilirating couple of days in Singapore!

What a day - really. Talk about clockwork. Got up at 6 am to go for the NGES Summit 2006. Helped setup the stuff. I really like working for Sarah and Jupe from NOC - the most professional people around with amazing communication skills.

It is beautiful when everything just works.

I love to help. I feel this is probably where I belong - in servicing others. Also, I am thinking hard again about business ideas. It is make it or break it time - I need to make something happen.

An interesting bunch of people - it is really great since I met so many different people. Good ole Prof Babin from Upenn - he is so bubbly and friendly and he feels like he is your best friend and it was really good seeing him again. Prof Kosnik from Stanford - the people from SV just can't stop talking. And I can see how NOC helped - if I check the kinda ethics and professionalism of some of the NOC alumni - Amanada, Adelina and Jimmy I can see how useful this experience is.

Fantastic day and it was rounded off by most helpers making it down to the networking event dinner at Orchard Hotel - got one more today as well - today is the appreciation dinner and todays sessions should be as fun as yesterday.

Oh! And we caught a peeping tom on the 4th floor of a block. A re-offender (not proven) from KE7 was positively ID'd. The scenario is that he was in the middle of his act when another girl walked in on him. He ran. She tried to stop him. He shoved. He was off. Two Indians spot him running hurriedly out of Old KR.

There are all kinds of people looking for the suspect late into the night at 2 a.m. The Resident Fellow decides to do a room check on the 3rd and 4th floors. Everythings in order. Except in one room in the 4th floor. Door is unlocked; resident missing but his wallet, phone and keys on the table (do not confuse this with the missing Alabama woman - she just had cold feet, ran from her wedding, caused the State of Georgia to lose in excess of $ 50,000 while she was on a Greyhound that took her to Oaklohama - or some state - does it matter because in the end everyone was happy since she even tried to sell her story). He walks back in at 2.30 or thereafter. Room has been locked. RA is contacted. He confesses.

Well, my take on it. Send him off-campus with some counselling and a severe reprimand. And on a lighter note - what is this guy's problem? Serious issues. It's like he does not know about Playboy and Hustle magazine. Come on. Its the most profitable business on the web - do you really want to spy in the showers in OLD KR? He should be charged for stupidity and not the peeping thing. Also, I mentioned this to my mates - I think all men probably fantasize about pulling a stunt like this. Then we rationalize and realize the risks involved - and 99.9% of men would resist the temptation. This is one temptation that is definitely yielded to by the minority. I think what is more disturbing is the amount of ex-KE7s that turn out to be peeping toms.

What else is new? Watched loads of movies. Will update with pics soon.

Listening to "Run it" and "Can I have it like that" remixes - it does not add to anything intellectual but the beat is infectious - listening to it all the time.

Realizing that my weight is definitely an issue I have cited the SRC 2 days in a row - completed 2 slow jogs on the first and an uncounted number of "walking rounds" on the second day. I think the dinners at Orchard Hotel are not helping.

BUT yes, I need a job and my thesis is still calling.

As a sidenote, I met Dr Millie since her husband was a participant. She thinks the world of me. Where is that job again?

Sunday, January 15, 2006

Crap! Its mid-Jan and my thesis is not started. OK. From next week its thesis or nothing.

Other than that - it has been an OK return. I made 50 bucks in the week with 8 gruelling hours of work at the Law Library. Real physical stuff if you ask me. Those books are heavy and like there are a gazillion of them on account of the move to the Buki Timah campus.

Am working with Sarah, Amanda and Meixin to organise the NGES Seminar on Monday and Tuesday - that has neatly taken up a lot of my time over Friday and Saturday but its all good.

Played cricket for a bit but not really exciting - I just dont fit in with Indians on the field. It was HOT! Played a couple of games and then just left.

Got loads of movies and desperate housewifes and well, there is academic stuff to be done as well.

The small matter of getting a job as well - this blows. There are some companies interested in me in Sri Lanka - its kinda being a case of not being here nor there. I am praying Singapore is kind to me!

For now, I am going to return to some entertainment and then sleep. Its 2.20 in the morning but fell asleep for a couple of hours in the evening so can hold on for an hour or so!

Ta!

Thursday, January 12, 2006

Wow! A whole month without blogging. I had plenty of time but seriously you would not do it if you had the cranky dial-up connection that I had at home.

My holidays. Uneventful while at the same time it was also very relaxing. It was filled with me helping my bro, loads of TV (but not too many movies), missing a lot of friends, and spending time at home with my mom and niece.

Apart from that, the main higlight was of course the release of my exam results - overperformed in the unlikeliest of modules - like 4101 with a B+ and an A for 4201 - well, those were kinda unexpected. Thought I deserved more for my 3215 (advertising_ - got a B- and also a B- for intro to media writing - to think that the ones I tried hardest for. And for my SOC module apparently, I missed my A- by a mark - well, can't complain - it moderated to an even 4.0 - fair enough.

Hmph! What else was there? I believe for the first time that I actually missed my buddies back home - my CNM buddies! Hehe! They are a fun bunch and I am kinda I am back with them in classes!

What else? Ohh! I got a nice blue cap from Meera! Its a Nike and though I would usually condone them using child labour, I must say they did really good with the cap. Don't give me the eye-roll - its NIKE that employs them kids and not me.

And my birthday bash was nice - my lankan friends got me a fantastic long-sleeves shirt and birthday cake and loads of well wishes. It was highlighted by accusations that I was downcast since they held it in suspense - I don't know how true it is but the only reason I think I could be depressed is because I am thinking of my thesis 24/7 - and I am as good as 3 months ago - blank.

Haiz! So many things running through my mind. Oh yeah! I almost missed my flight coming in. Hilarious. Me being the ass decided to really test emirates. I went there like half an hour before take-off when the recommended cut-off was 1.5 hours. Emirates had, of course, promptly closed the counter and when I finally made it to the departure area following the screening and like 20 mins before take-off, there was no counters. Began running frantically. Finally, after like what seemed eternity, a lady tells me "Oh Emirates? The counter is closed, sir." I was like SHIT! This is a one-month expiry ticket - its a use it now or never thingy. I started pleading. Lucky me. I had checked in ONLINE and had a seat number. They made a very special exception and opened both passenger and baggage counters and also cited the plane being slightly late as a reason that I did make it. PHEW! BUT they still made me run like a KM to departure gate 8 - and all this time I thought the plane could still take off without me - and I finally got there to see a bunch of NUS dudes and dudettes still seated since they had not yet boarded. I think I have had enough of the huffing and puffing - will be sticking to making it earlier in future! :)

Ha! What else? I started work at Law Library. Quite OK. $6 bucks an hour. The work is quite tough and mundane. The people are nice though - very friendly. Man, this makes me wonder. Two of my friends got excellent breaks - one friend, Praveen has got a mind-blowing offer. It is just too good to talk about it since I will jinx it. Good luck to all and I hope that something rubs off onto me too.

Well, I will be updating regularly from now - and todays highlight was a boring NOC meeting. FUCK! This people like totally wasted time on some nonchalant matters and upon returning the pre-party alcohol in lieu of Shavanka's 22nd B'day had toxicated quite a few people - Shavanka was happy and was sure to get laid tonight - with or without his consent.

Hmm! I am just a mixture of all emotions - I want to achieve so much and do so much - but for now I am only pondering how bright everyone else's future is! This blows - like Adnan Sami said "Mari life karadai! Ek nahi to Char Diladeh!"

CHEERS!!! :)
