Lanka/India
Of course, on Feb 8th we kick off the four ODIs against India. Since the 6-1 trashing, Lanka has come a long way. The only noticeable blip on the radar was the Champions Trophy where we lost to a South African side whose bowling was unplayable. However, India's bowling is very playable; in fact, it is so muddled that their world-class (and this label is attached by Indians) leg spinner is also their fast bowler. OK wait... I am going into that whole Indian bashing thing again...
But, just for the record, I am prediciting a 3-1 result for Lanka. We probably will drop one because it is ODIs and hence unpredictable element. This will set us up nicely for the world cup - which is going to be next month.
And mind you, while Lanka has progressed since the 6-1 trashing, India's has recalled Ganguly. Erm. OK - see what I mean. And they also hailed the series win against West Indies as an achievement. Erm. Again... Nevermind. Once we beat them, and they get knocked out of the world cup with the minnows, everything will be normal again. Of course, by normal, I mean that Ganguly will find his house on fire and submit yet another insurance claim.
